This practical textbook can be utilized by any veterinarian who is interested in learning more about veterinary palliative medicine.  The book covers topics that include; building a house call practice in end-of-life care, going to your first palliative appointment, pain management, veterinary palliative medicine, with symptom and disease management, compassion fatigue and burnout, euthanasia, palliated death which includes the changes we see in the physiology of death and more.  Though it is geared toward house-call veterinarians, it expands the concepts of veterinary palliative medicine for the veterinary field.
